Absolutely. Most clients choose to licence music rather than purchase it outright. Licensing allows you to legally use a song for an agreed purpose while the copyright remains with the creator unless otherwise agreed.
Yes. All lyrics in the Vandermonts Publishing catalogue are available for licensing independently of their existing recordings. This allows artists, producers, composers and production companies to create entirely new musical works from existing lyrical compositions, subject to the agreed licence terms.
Some works can be adapted for specific commercial projects, including minor lyric or arrangement changes where appropriate. Vandermonts Publishing does not offer custom songwriting commissions at this time, but existing works may be suitable for adaptation.
Unless the agreement states otherwise, copyright remains with Vandermonts Publishing and/or the songwriter. A licence grants permission to use the work under agreed terms without transferring ownership.
